Anime Spotlight - StarMyu aka High School Star Musical
This is a very silly anime that is best watched when you want some light hearted fun and are up for a giggle. It follows 5 boys in a performing arts school that failed their auditions for the elite spots but one out of the box senior decides that they would make a good team. The boys have to overcome thier differences to form a team and prove themselves.
Its silly fun and as a musical they brak out into song and dance all the time. The only way to exprss their feelings is in musical numbers. Its like Glee but if the casy where all male bishonens. Its harmless fun with some fun songs and dance routines.
I spent most of the time laughing at some of the random songs, like when a rival teams pops out of the bushes to sing! But the usual feel good vibe of overcoming obstacles is here and boys getting to live their dreams of being on stage and perfroming.
It also helps that it gets slashy and I happily ship Hiragi/Otori.
Simple, fun, light hearted and best enjoyed when you don’t want anything more than some pretty boys that like to sing their feeings perfrom.
