Anime spotlight - Special 7: Special Crime Investigation Unit
I really wanted to like this anime, its had a good premise, attractive character designs and a world where supernatural beings and human work together in a special unit. But alas it wasted its good points on bland personalities and a very bland paint by numbers generic plot.
It follow natsume who Nine years ago, he survived a terrorist attack on an airport because a detective delayed the terrorists and let him escape. He wished to be like him and so became a detective. He seems to have some type of magical ability that he acquired at the airport bombing that he is not fully aware of yet.
I thought magical terrorists would be more exciting along with humans, vampires and elves all sharing a society. But its wasn’t dark or gritty and was just generic, not a lot of action or tension.
The elf guy was hot though!
